Finding and buying a house in France

To find and to buy a house in France does not work the same way it does in The Netherlands or in the UK, although similarities exist. I will try below to explain the different aspects of the procedure, which I know from experience. By the way, I cannot guarantee a 100% truthful and complete story which includes all the details.
